Meeting of the National Competent Authorities on Pricing and Reimbursement and Public Healthcare Payers (NCAPR)

As part of the Hungarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union (EU), Budapest hosted participants at the seventh Meeting of the National Competent Authorities on Pricing and Reimbursement and Public Healthcare Payers (NCAPR).

The European Commission sees the need for new actions to raise public awareness of Substances of Human Origin (SoHO) and to increase donor recruitment and maintain donor engagement .

This key issue was presented during the discussion on New regulation on substances of human origin (soho): aspects relevant to payers.

The aim of the legislation under discussion is to improve the safety and quality of blood, tissues and cells used in healthcare, as well as to facilitate the cross-border circulation of these substances within the EU and provide better protection for donors and recipients.

With the joint NCAPR initiative, we are building a strategic partnership of all groups involved in the pricing and reimbursement of medicinal products.
