Scope of the Project
International
Objective of the Project
The scope of the project includes the introduction of solutions for joint clinical assessments of new health technologies and the development of methodologies for such assessments.
Description of the Project
Since 2018, AOTMiT, has been involved as a supporting expert in discussions at the European level on the draft regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council on health technology assessment and amending Directive 2011/24/EU, hereinafter referred to as the “Common HTA Regulation”.
In 2019, although works on the draft regulation had been in progress for over two years (they began in January 2018), by the end of 2019, it was not possible to reach a compromise or gain the support of the majority of Member States, even on the most fundamental issues, such as establishing the competences of the European Commission.
