Clinical recommendations
As part of its statutory tasks, the Agency carries out processes related to providing opinions on the clinical recommendations drafted by scientific societies regarding, among others, cancer diagnosis and treatment. It also pursues activities associated with drafting organizational recommendations, as well as diagnostic and therapeutic management recommendations.
The process and methods adopted by the Agency for both providing opinions on clinical practice guidelines and developing these guidelines are based on recognized international methods, as well as standards and tools to ensure the highest quality of the drafted analyses. As part of these processes, the Agency works to disseminate the most widely recognized tools to support the process of drafting, evaluating and implementing clinical practice guidelines and system-level organizational recommendations; for example, the Agency has translated into Polish and implemented the AGREE II guideline quality assessment tool and the ADAPTE guideline adaptation toolkit.
